OUR STORY
Harvest, Hope & Rising Foundation, South Sudan (HHRF)
Harvest, Hope & Rising Foundation, South Sudan (HHRF), is a Faith based Non-Government organization which was founded in February 2022 by a group of Professional and religious South Sudanese technocrats who had formed a worldwide platform through which they discussed the challenges both man made, related to insecurity in form cattle rustling, inter-communal conflicts, political instability as well as natural ones like heavy floods resulting from climate change that have emerged South Sudan and other developing nations. These challenges have turned nations such as South Sudan that had high hopes of progress after attaining her independence in July 2011 into a state of pessimism with the majority of the population living in abstract poverty and looking to the philanthropic agencies for livelihoods support and general humanitarian welfare.
Through their platform, which acted as a link between those residing in South Sudan and those living in the diaspora, especially Sweden, members were able to discuss what initiatives such as grassroots peacebuilding efforts, psychosocial support and resilience programs would be implemented from the religious point of view, in the various states of the Republic of South Sudan to create hope in the life of an ordinary South Sudanese who has now become Vulnerable and yearning for both material and spiritual nourishment, and in other nations facing armed conflict such as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Sahel Region in West Africa.

OUR STORY
From HHRF to a flourishing community
Harvest, Hope & Rising Foundation is dedicated to improving Human welfare through participatory, inclusive service delivery by supporting children with disabilities; empowering youth and women; supporting orphans and the elderly; and strengthening livelihoods by supporting livestock health and promoting basic agronomics in Sub-Saharan Africa, beginning with South Sudan. Through Animal Health & Livelihoods initiatives, we enhance livelihoods to ensure food security and economic stability by partnering with veterinarians, farmers and local authorities to provide training on disease prevention, livestock management and sustainable agriculture.
In South Sudan, we began by equipping farmers with climate-smart techniques, irrigation solutions and market access opportunities to increase productivity and household incomes through asset creation, thus ensuring that communities can sustain themselves and break free from the vicious cycle of poverty.
